National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy Examination (I), 2011

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold the NDA and Naval Academy Examination, 2011 on 17th April, 2011 for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wing of the NDA for the 127th Course and 89th Naval Academy Course commencing from 30-12-2011.

Eligibility:

• Age: 16.5 to 19 years i.e. born between 02/01/1993 and 01/07/1995
• Educational Qualification
• for Army : 12th Classpass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
• For Air Force, Navy and Naval Academy : 12th Classpass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University with Physics and Mathematics subjects
• Candidates who are appearing in the 12th exam can also apply.
• Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit as per advertisement details..

Application Form: The candidates must apply in the Common Application Form devised by the Commission for its examinations, which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/ Post offices throughout the country against cash payment of Rs. 20/-

Indian Navy invites unmarried Men and Women to join Navy as Short Service Commissioned (SSC) Officer as Observer in Aviation Cadre of Executive Branch Course Commencing - July 2011

Applications are invited from unmarried Male and Female Indian Citizens for Short Service Commission (SSC) Officer as Observer in Aviation Cadre of Executive Branch of the Indian Navy for Course commencing July 2011 at Naval Academy.

Eligibility Conditions:

Age : Between 21 to 23 years (candidates to be born between 02 July 1988 to 01 July 1992; both dates inclusive)

Educational Qualifications : (a) A Graduate Degree in any discipline with an aggregate of 65% marks with Physics and Mathematics as main subjects at 10+2 level.

SSC : Short Service Commission is granted for a term of 10 years, extensible to 14 years, subject to service requirements and performance/willingness of the candidate.
